Pieve di San Giovanni Battista

 

I always thought that the belfry was bizarre... and in fact its upper part was built in the XX century, on top of one of the towers of the fortress.

 

The XVI century church. It seems that before being a church, the room was used as an arms depot!



The relics of William of Maleval (or William the Great), an hermit who died near Castiglione in 1157.
