The lizards don't shine any more

For centuries (?) people have rubbed them for good luck. As a kid, every time my grandfather was in Pisa, we went there for the rubbing ceremony.
Now, there's a protective grid, and the two "lucertoline" don't shine anymore. They don't bring good luck to the World or just a little fun to kids and grandparents.
